2022 started with a Viking cruise that started in San Juan, PR, and ended in San Juan, PR; and ended with a cruise that started in Spain and ended in San Juan, PR. We met Barb and Deb on the first cruise and visited them in Madison, WI, then went camping on the shores of Sturgeon Bay. It also ended with us booking another cruise in July to Scandinavia and Iceland.

Booked Grand European River Cruise Prague to Amsterdam for September

Seed starting indoors (mixed results, most likely bad soil)

Larry went to FL to visit Barb and Deb in Feb and came home with five Publix Key Lime pies

Visited Mom and Dad in early April with Larry

Went to Jonah and Emma's wedding in New Orleans in April. Stopped overnight in Memphis on the drive down. Enjoyed a blues bar, Larry's first time hearing the blues. Sun Records the next day, plus drove around and tried to find the building where I worked at Baptist Memorial in the late 90s. Felt strange to be back, but I didn't live there long, and it was so long ago.

Visited mom and dad for Mother's Day

Larry went to CA in May to see his bro. I stayed home, worked, and worked on my garden.

Lovely dinner at Ralf and Jim's for "soft opening" of verandah

Larry went to NYC in June to see new baseball stadiums.

Record prolonged heatwave and drought throughout summer. Hell on my garden.

Had Ralf and Jim over for summer dinner--steaks on the grill

Went to visit Deb and Barb in Madison for four days, then camped for four days in beautiful northern WI on the shores of the Sturgeon Bay. Explored Door County.

Cancelled river cruise due to rivers in Europe drying up and cruise turning into a bus tour

Planned a trip to CO; decided to take transatlantic cruise instead. Will do CO another time.

Got better at my job; stood up to a bully at work.

Visited mom and dad in September with Larry

Beautiful fall dinner outdoors at Ralf and Jim's--cinderella pumpkin 

Had Ralf and Jim over for "tomato tasting" and "pizza grilled cheese" 

Garden limps along and flowers suddenly explode into life starting in September

Trip to Chicago for Larry's birthday. Stayed in a beautiful Airbnb with wonderful host Molly and her two cats Froelich and Marlowe and Gordon setter dogs.

Came home late December, down with Covid two days later

Stayed home for holidays--Covid and terrible blizzard

New Year's Eve at Ralf and Jim's.
